The soft robots, capable to accept the various form

Scientists from University Taftsa develop the soft robots, capable to accept the various form, the Tape referring to Computerworld informs. After deformation robots independently come back in an original form. Now two prototypes of such robots are created.

Unlike modern robots, soft robots are deprived rigid materials and difficult system of levers. In their basis the biomaterials, differing durability and plasticity will lay.

For creation of such robots scientists study caterpillars. Like plastic robots, they supervise the bodyand move, not having neither bones, nor joints.

The small processor which also is at the stage of working out will operate actions of robots. It is considered, that the simple chip for soft robots there will be enough, as, for example, at a caterpillar on which image there are robots, very simple nervous system.

Finances the given research management of forward planning of defensive research works of the USA (DARPA) with which has allocated to developers of soft robots of $3,3 million.
