Sony patents emulator PS2 for PS3

If for RS enthusiasts develop for a long time already and improve the emulator of game console PlayStation2, owners of newer version of the console (especially those who has passed with PS2 on PS3) have no possibility to start old games on the new console. Now Sony has decided to correct a situation and has patented all necessary for emulator PS2 creation on PS3.

Earlier on PS2 Sony realised so-called Emotion Engine and on PS2 there was a possibility of start of games from the first version of the console that was very convenient, and also gave advantages in front of console Xbox 360 in which return compatibility with the first Xbox has been extremely limited.

As to PS3 in Sony have decided not to support Emotion Engine to reduce cost of an end-product and it is clear, that return compatibility has disappeared together with it. Now this omission should correct and Emotion Engine it will be emulated on PS3. Probably, it is made also that users bought more PS3 in which will be as though two consoles and to get PS3 begins more favourably. Despite respectable age, PS2 perfectly is on sale till now and when it will send on rest - it is not known. Probably, that realisation Emotion Engine for PS3 is attempt to accelerate exit PS2 on pension.
