Some providers can divide the Kiev Internet market
The Kiev market the Internet-provejderov can be divided between 2-4 large companies. About it it is spoken in results of the research spent by financially-investment group P&S GROUP, writes "Business"
In research demand for services of broadband access to the Internet in Kiev, despite crisis is noticed, that, continues to grow promptly. Analysts notice, that Kiev takes in the lead positions in the country on development of broadband access to the Internet from shares of penetration into 37 %. As a whole across Ukraine penetration of the broadband Internet makes only 7,7 %.
Under forecasts of analysts, the next years it will be possible to expect section of the Kiev market between 2-4 large operators of local networks who will cover so-called «sleeping areas» cities. Along with them, can exist no more than some tens the small local networks covering certain market niches.
«« Despite crisis, the market of telecommunications of Kiev continues to grow. The analysis has shown, that today small operators struggle for a survival and become less attractive to acquisition. It is possible to assert, that financial crisis has returned concepts of real cost and a price and quality parity », - has noted, Valery Cheshko, the regional director for Ukraine in P&S Capital.
According to research P&S GROUP, the actual leader of a capital segment of broadband access to the Internet there is an operator of a cable television "Will-cable". According to experts, on its share it is necessary 31 % of the capital market. In the end of March, 2009 the operator rendered services of the broadband Internet of 220 thousand kievlyanam. Now the company directs efforts to business development in regions, outside of capital.
The second place in the market, according to research, is occupied with state telecommunication company "Ukrtelecom". In the end of March at the company was 60 thousand users in Kiev. In I quarter 2009 this figure has grown on 14 %, and now the company share is equal 8 %.
It is followed by operators of local networks IPNet and Freenet from shares of 4 % everyone. Abonbaza IPNet in I quarter 2009 the company has grown on 23 % to 25 thousand Now plans to capture the majority of the population of Kiev at the expense of expansion on city areas. Quantity of subscribers Freenet uvelichelos on 22,5 % to 25 thousand subscribers. And till the end of 2009 the operator is going to double quantity of clients.
On size in Kiev the operator «Golden the Telecom» from shares of the market of 3 % in 2009 has added the fifth to already existing subscribers of 12 thousand new, thus, having increased their number to 54 thousand across all Ukraine.
Company "Vega" closes the six of leaders of the market from shares in 2 %, with total of subscribers across Kiev – 13,5 thousand On a share of the others is necessary about 48 %.
