Siemens leaves business with Fujitsu Siemens Computers?

Siemens intends to leave business on production of computers, having sold the share in joint venture with Fujitsu Siemens Computers, inform the American mass-media. It is rather probable, that to one of buyers becomes Lenovo.

Company Fujitsu has the right of priority to the repayment of share Fujitsu Siemens Computers (FSC), based 9 years ago. The question only in, whether will want Fujitsu to take advantage of the right.

 According to president Fujitsu Kuniaki Nodzoe (Kuniaki Nozoe), ts company considers production and sale of mobile phones as more favourable business in comparison with sales of personal computers.

According to a source, purchase of share Siemens can be of interest for company Lenovo which is the manufacturer of computers №1 in China and is on the fourth place among manufacturers of the personal computer in the world.

Official representatives Siemens have refused to make comments on the information. In company Fujitsu have informed, that news has under itself no any bases, transmits Reuters. According to press-secretary Fujitsu Masahiro YAmane (Masahiro Yamane), now there is a negotiating process between Fujitsu and Siemens, possibilities of change of the terms of the contract which term expires next year, however are discussed   while any definitive decisions of the party have not accepted.

In 2007 of sale Fujitsu Siemens Computers have made € 6,6 billion Nevertheless, the company feels furious breath in a back from such giants, as HP and Dell. According to Gartner, FSC takes 5,5 % of the world market of servers, and according to DisplaySearch, the company has a share of 5,2 % in the market of laptops.

Recently Siemens has informed on sale of the business on production of wireless phones, receivers and other communication devices Siemens Home and Office Communication Devices. Representatives Siemens have explained it the decision to concentrate on production of the equipment for 3 branches: power, the industry and medicine.
