The fund of developers Symbian Foundation has let out today the first open package of the software for mobile OS Symbian. In the future all operational system Symbian it is planned to make accessible in initial codes.
Symbian Foundation has been founded one year ago by companies Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, NTT DoCoMo, Texas Instruments, Vodafone, Samsung, LG, and AT&T for coordination of open development of operational system Symbian OS. Till now Symbian it is delivered as the commercial closed system, but after its source codes will be accessible under licence Eclipse Public Licence (EPL). The first package of software OS Security Package has been let out under this licence.
