Microsoft and Yahoo have entered into the agreement on partnership


Microsoft and Yahoo today, on July, 29th, declared the conclusion of the partner agreement which covers sphere of Internet advertising and search service and will operate within 10 years.

According to this contract, search system Microsoft Bing practically completely will replace own search engine Yahoo, and the licence for search technologies Yahoo will be given developers Windows. In turn, Yahoo will sell premium-advertising - the and Microsoft - and will receive within first five years incomes from Microsoft for the traffic directed from Yahoo. Softvernyiy the giant intends annually to provide monetary stream Yahoo $275 million

Both companies say, that will have everyone the advertisements and will not co-ordinate design of announcements with each other. Also they assure, that data separately will store and are not going to exchange them.

Regulyatornyie bodies, as usual, will consider the transaction about possible infringements of the antimonopoly law, but it is expected, that it all the same will be approved and will definitively come to the end in the beginning of 2010

The agreement is praised highly as giving new possibilities for advertisers and for Internet search development. At the same time, Microsoft and Yahoo do not hide, that the transaction overall objective - to fall down Google which owns in the USA of 70 % from all search traffic. Microsoft is going to liberate a competition in the market of Internet search and to transform Bing into the strong contender.

Last year Microsoft, after unsuccessful negotiations on an occasion of purchase Yahoo, undertook attempts to carry out unfriendly absorption of the Internet company. The transaction and has not taken place, as Yahoo has counted itself underestimated and has tried was to enter into the agreement with Google - but unsuccessfully as regulyatornyie bodies have considered, that two largest companies will supervise all market of Internet advertising. Subsequently shareholders Yahoo were dissatisfied with the missed possibilities with Microsoft.
