Medvedev urges to support innovative activity of youth

The president of Russia Dmitry Medvedev supports creation of separate structure on support of innovative activity of youth.

At a meeting with representatives of the youth organisations the president declared establishment of the state awards for young scientists on 2,5 million roubles each.

«Similar attempts were undertaken in the late eighties when there were centres of scientific and technical creativity of youth, I even co-operated with the such, — the head of the state has reminded. — idea good, but performance di not suit anywhere. On the basis of such centres extraneous business has started to develop, and the centres began to turn to offices for state ownership digestion in the private. We need to think how to create a similar sort of structure with which the youth could co-operate, on normal, market conditions, with normal level of a payment. The separate organizational structure would be necessary».
