LG and Samsung unite in advancement of the standard of mobile digital TV
Companies LG Electronics and Samsung Electronics, in the lead in the world market of digital television technologies, declared, that namerenyi to present in common developed technology – the North American technological standard of mobile TV.
The technology of in common presented system will reflect the last opening within the limits of the program of Independent Acknowledgement of Efficiency (IDOV), conducted organisation Association of Maximum Service Television (MSTV), on behalf of Open Mobile Video Coalition (OMVC). According to the research conducted by National Association of the Broadcasting Companies (National Association of Broadcasters - NAB), with acceptance by Committee on the Advanced Television Systems of the uniform standard of mobile/portable digital TV, by the end of 2012 the volume of the American market of mobile DTV-phones will reach an indicator of 130 million pieces. And growth of the market of portable multimedia mobile digital television receivers will allow to add 25 million more pieces.
