In AMD the new president and the main chief executive

Company AMD declared today that the decision of board of directors the president and main operational director Dirk Meyer (Dirk Meyer) is nominated by the main chief executive of the company.

Meyer replaces on Hector Ruiz’s this post (Hector Ruiz) which will hold a post of chairman of board of directors AMD. On the new post Ruiz will supply smooth transition at level of the top management of the company, to watch strategy realisation «clever production» and to participate in development of strategic partner relations and relations wit the governmental structures top-level.

46-year-old Meyer has come in AMD in 1995 and has attracted attention as the chief of a command of developers of revolutionary processor AMD Athlon ™, for the first time in branch of 1 GHz which have broken a barrier. With 2001 for 2006 Meyer headed microprocessor business of the company, being responsible for corresponding scientific and technical and design workings out, production, management and marketing. It liderskie talents have led to doubling of yield of microprocessor business for these five years and to essential expansion of presence AMD in the world market. In 2006 Meyer has been nominated by the president and main operational director AMD, and in 2007 was a part of board of directors AMD.
