ICANN has allowed free registration of domains of the first level

Organisation ICANN which is responsible for registration the Internet of addresses, at conference in Paris, has made decision to allow free registration of domains of the first level. Earlier the users, wishing to receive the highest level domain, have been limited in a choice of the address for the site by 21 domain. In the conditions of new system any user the Internet can register the own domain of the first level, for example, it can be.vova.line etc.

However not all domains become accessible to registration to avoid use of naes of the registered trade marks by foreign users, the rights to them will be issued only by granting of substantiations confirming the right to possession. And such potentially popular domains as.market.bank.oil.car, most likely, become auction lots.

In plans ICANN to organise issue of new domains in second half of 2009, besides, in the organisation have come to consent to allow their writing different languages, thus, the domain can be registered Cyrillics, a Hebrew, Arabian and Chinese languages.
