Greenpeace rigidly criticises known manufacturers of the personal computer
Greenpeace has updated the list of manufacturers of "green" technics Guide to Greener Electronics. Among the most antiharmless manufacturers — known brands: Fujitsu, Microsoft, Lenovo, HP, Dell. The first place on harm for environment is occupied with production of the successful manufacturer of game consoles Nintendo.

HP, Dell and Lenovo in general have shelved the intentions to refuse use in manufacture of computers of such harmful substances, as polyvinylchloride (PVC) and bromirovannyie fireproof structures (BFR — brominated flame retardants). HP, unlike Dell and Lenovo, at all does not offer production with reduced maintenance PVC and BFR.
At the same time, Greenpeace has noted harmless production Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson which have typed accordingly 7,4, 7,1 and 6,5 points on a 10-mark scale estimating safety of electronic devices for environment. LG, Toshiba and Motorola have occupied 4, 5 and 6 places. Sony has moved down with 5 on 12 position: the company too slowly introduces the program of processing of electronic dust, as a result other manufacturers left forward.
Greenpeace has noted diligence Apple, having declared, that its computers Mac already practically do not contain polyvinylchloride and are absolutely deprived bromirovannyih fireproof structures. Threat from application in manufacture of technics of polyvinylchloride and BFR has the delayed character: these substances poison soil and waters in places of a congestion of so-called electronic dust — the thrown out technics. Besides, dumps of old electronics settle down in the poorest countries of Africa and Asia which population burns these heaps of the become obsolete technics and subjects itself to dangerous influence of burning chemicals. Thus frequently such workers among whom women and even children come across, have no special protective clothes.
