Google: China is a source of the majority of harmful programs

Google has presented results of research of the sites containing the harmful software.

According to these data the majority of the latent loadings spyware is initiated by the computers which are in China.

About 67 % of all dangerous sites and 64 % of suspicious servers it is possessed in territory of China, senior engineer Google Nils Provos has informed.

According to Provosa, harmful ON, basing on Internet technologies, represents the serious problem which effective decision does not exist yet.

During the period fom January till October, 2007 experts Google have analysed 66 million unique addresses, results have shown, that from them 3,5 million hide ill-intentioned programs. According to Provosa, detection degree after that has made 90 % with a margin error no more than 0,1 %.

The presented analysis represents only a part of the efforts undertaken Google, on protection of users. The company makes the list of potentially dangerous sites, and the search car issues preventions when their addresses appear in results of search.

Nils Provos has informed, that 12 % of attacks are united with the advertising using search mechanisms. He also has declared, that Google uses the best efforts to prevent visiting by users of dangerous sites, but at the moment there is no protection universal remedy, informs securitylab.ru
