Organisation HopeLab research experiment has shown, that games well influence cancer patients.
Noncommercial organisation HopeLab has published results of the interesting medical research which basic result was beneficial influence of games on oncological patients. It was found out after three-month experiment in the group numbering almost four hundreds of patients. In research specially created game project Re-Mission which is not differing, however, by special originality was used: experimental players should perate the hero travelling in a body sick and destroying cancer cage.
Certainly, in itself game cannot render per capita any curative effect. However in HopeLab have found out, that similar game activity stimulates the patient more to show consideration for the health and the main thing — to treatment process. For example, they start to watch carefully periodicity of a drug intake and less often pass procedures, unlike not playing patients. It is especially important for young patients who yet do not understand importance of the careful relation to the illness. It is informed, that HopeLab has free of charge extended about 125 000 copies of game Re-Mission, writes dtf.ru
