Ericsson has concluded the new five years’ contract with IBM on IT outsourcing
The company the Ericsson declared signing of the five years’ contract with corporation IBM on IT outsourcing, including service and an applications programming for the Ericsson.
The given contract will allow to raise efficiency of delivery of an IT content approximately 70000 end users of the company, having lowered thus working costs.
The new contract which is treaty extension, signed in 2003, provides modernisation of IT services from the Ericsson, their reduction in conformity with predicted requirements of employees, and als maintenance of flexible support of global business of the company.
Charles-Magnus Mansson (Carl-Magnus Mеnsson), the director for information systems and the head of IT group in the Ericsson, has noted: "External management of IT processes gives us significant advantages. Helping to cut costs in the field of IT, such management reduces also costs for management, and also does IS/IT structure of more effective. Outsourcing also allows to adapt flexibly for changed requests in sphere of IT technologies. Our supplier has proved as the best provider in the class and we are glad to continue this long-term cooperation".
Service of internal, global and corporate networks of transfer of the traffic of data is not included in the contract and a company voice. They will be in management of division of global services the Ericsson, whose responsibilities will include also delivery of some important appendices for business, and also service of an infrastructure from own global centre of granting of services the Ericsson.
Period of validity acting autsorsingovogo the contract with company IBM expires in the autumn of 2008.
