DuPont and Dainippon will make OLED-displays

Companies DuPont and Dainippon Screen Manufacturing namerenyi to make a strategic alliance for development of mass production processes of displays on organic light-emitting diodes (OLED). The given technology is rather attractive owing to that OLED-displays, being not more thickly than a sheet of paper, supply the image of the highest quality at small time of the response. And energopotreblenie also it is not enough of them, as illumination lamps it is not required, informs MobileDevice.

At the same time these displays cannot work lon time. Organic materials are very hardly subject to the external effects, therefore necessary there is hermetic sealing use. But also it yet all. The majority of the modern OLED-displays which are on free sale, have a diagonal in three or four inches. And unique OLED-TV Sony XEL-1 (the photo see), the price on which exceeds $2 000, is limited by a diagonal of all in 11 inches.

Teamwork of companies DuPont and Dainippon urged to lower the cost price of given production and to increase the sizes of OLED-panels to such an extend that new production could compete with LCD.
