Deutsche Telekom accuse in illegal a prowhisper of phones
In interview to edition Financial Times the main chief executive of German telecommunication giant Deutsche Telekom Ren Obermann recognised, that in the company investigations on earlier put forward charge in illegal a prowhisper of phones of top-managers of the company, and also of some journalists of German editions have been conducted, informs CyberSecurity.
Not to attract anger of the state inspectors, in DT yesterday officially recognised, that have data on prowhispers for 2005-2006 and these data have been submitted to the State ffice of Public Prosecutor of Germany.
In interview Financial Times Obermann has declared, that it "is deeply shaken" by the appeared information and charges. As he said, most likely, then the company management tried to find out channels of leak of the important business data and news about the company in the press. It was supposed, that someone from top-managers or members of supervisory board DT "merges" all data abreast editions.
Itself Obermann became main chief executive DT in November, 2006, already after illegal prowhispers took place. Financial Times notices, that if the given charges will be confirmed, it becomes one of the strongest blows on DT and the company serious troubles in home market expect.
German weekly journal Der Spiegel develops a theme: according to this edition in 2005 in one of the Berlin consulting agencies the data, concerning telephone conversations of management of the national operator of Germany were constantly delivered. Data about a number of the journalists writing about the company there came. The weekly journal writes, that the exact quantity of cases prowhispers is not known, but in not named agency there are some thousand different listings of negotiations.
Moreover, Der Spiegel referring to the sources notices, that assertions about a prowhisper for 2005-2006 mismatch the validity and the last data about a prowhisper are dated on April, 28th, 2008.
The journal notices, that per 2005-2006 scales prowhispers were especially great, as the company had to face scale protests of workers and trade unions because of reduction of jobs.
Former chief executive DT Kaj-Uve Rike said earlier in interview Der Spiegel, that in 2005 the company has faced a number of the extremely undesirable leaks and Board of directors then has required, that in the company have stopped leak channels.
