Dell will equip the laptops with HSPA-modules from Ericsson

Companies Ericsson and Dell have informed, that laptops of the last will be equipped with access modules to mobile broadband HSPA-networks in three frequency ranges, supplying thus uninterrupted roaming. Dell will start to equip laptops manufactured by it with such HSPA-modules from Ericsson, since the second quarter 2008.

For today HSPA the widespread technology of mobile broadband access in the world – on its basis it is developed more than 185 HSPA-networks serving more of 1 billion of subscribers on a commercial basis.

According to data of marketing researches by 2011 it will be annually sold about 200 million laptops. Half from them, under forecasts Ericsson, will be equipped by the built in module of mobile broadband communication with support of technology HSPA.
