Deep Shadows optimises games for Xbox360

The Ukrainian company Deep Shadows widely known in the market of computer games for the personal computer and consoles of new generation, declared successful end of works on realisation of high-grade support of multinuclear processor systems on the basis of components Intel Threading Building Blocks 2.0 (TBB).

Becoming participant Intel Software Partner Program, company Deep Shadows has made the decision on support of multiline calculations and full-scale use of resources of multinuclear processors in own cursor Vital Engine and in theproducts based on it. It is especially actual for the products intended for Xbox360 where three processor nucleuses are used. Corporation Intel grants the convenient and simple tool in use for working out of the program applications using parallel calculations – Intel Threading Building Blocks (TBB). Library Intel TBB realises in itself abstraction means necessary for the organisation of the parallel data processing, allowing to avoid nizkourovnevogo programming, and also is capable to work with any compiler of language C ++, that simplifies an applications programming for systems on the basis of multinuclear processors.

Besides, the library is accompanied by excellent support from company Intel which includes also active forums of users, the good documentation and base with an open code. Thanks to that there is version TBB with an open code, we could transfer without significant difficulties library on platform Xbox360 and receive scalability of appendices without reprogramming on this three-nuclear architecture. Now our games will work equally well both on Xbox360, and on multinuclear personal computers with processor technologies Intel ».
