Company Huawei modernised underwater network MedNautilus

Company Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., the world leader in the field of decisions for communication networks of following generation, has finished the project on modernisation of the underwater network DWDM belonging to division Telecom Italia Mediterranean Nautilus Ltd.

The given project has been realised on the basis of equipment WDM Huawei – OptiX BWS 1600S. Possibilities of this decision allow to increase effectively network capacity, supplying simple interaction with workings out of foreign manufacturers and decrease in the eneral level of costs. The modernisation of infrastructure MedNautilus which has been carried out on the basis of equipment Huawei, has helped to increase throughput of a network and to supply its maximum capacity at level of 640 Gbit on fibre-optical pair, thus speed of transfer reaches 2,5 Gb – 10 Gb/seconds At the expense of realisation of the given project company MedNautilus has created base for expansion of a broadband telecommunication service.
