Cisco invests in company Celeno
Celeno Communications Inc. Declared agreement undertaking about a new round of strategic investments for the sum of 16 million US dollar which are carried out under the guidance of Cisco.
These means will help Celeno Communications Inc. To increase sales volumes, to expand an advertising effort and to accelerate working out of products of new generation. Except Cisco, in the mentioned investment round venture fund Miven Venture Partners, and also funds Greylock Partners and Pitango Venture Capital, earlier already investing means in Ceeno Communications Inc participate. As a whole for three-year investment program Celeno it is allocated more than 30 million dollars.
High-efficiency system Celeno based on standards "Wi-Fi on the processor" supplies safe delivery of multimedia and entertaining appendices to apartment houses on wireless channels. Hardware decision Celeno supports potokovoe IP-TV, distribution of content DVR on different rooms and connection of a computer network to different telescreens. Delivery of these services is carried out on all house without stacking of cables and wires. Processors Wi-Fi for distribution of the multimedia traffic are built in the most different systems: house sluices, teleprefixes and house routers. It is considered, that these processors become the central component of "the connected houses" new generation.
Unique technology Celeno raises productivity of standard systems Wi-Fi and allows house subscribers to accept more streams HDTV with a choice quality. It raises range of communication to 10 times and twice increases throughput of channels 802.11n draught 2.0.
