Cheap SSD from Samsung will urge on production netbukov

Samsung declared start of production cheap SSD with low density of a data storage.

SSD are completed from chips of flesh-memory NAND and are used for the purpose of preservation of various data on the computer. Solid-state stores have a number of advantages in comparison with usual hard disks: work more fast and more silently, consume less energy.

In a month Samsung will start quantity production of small-capacity solid-state stores in three updatings: 8ГБ, 16ГБ and 32ГБ. New disk drives wil be on 30 % less on the size, than 2,5-inch HDD which are usually used in cheap personal computers or netbukah.

New solid-state stores will work more fast SSD the senior generation, prednazchavshihsya for cheap personal computers as the new generation includes technology SATA II.

Speed of data reading at new solid-state stores from Samsung will be 90 MB a second, speed of record will make 70MБ in a second for 32ГБ SSD, 45MБ — for 16ГБ SSD and 25MБ in a second for 8ГБ SSD.

For comparison: the first small-capacity solid-state stores which the company has manufactured two years ago, 32 GB and 16 GB SSD, data with a speed could read of 57 MB a second, and write down — with a speed of 32 MB.

It is expected, that market SSD with low density of a data storage will annually grow on 57 % up to 2011. Such growth is caused by a great demand on cheap personal computers.
