Scientists name similar materials "thermoelectric", transmits IT Day. Materials can be divided into groups by efficiency of transformation of heat in an electricity at certain temperature. Originally the most effective material was comercially used in thermoelectric generators of capacity. It was an alloy of telluride of the lead, alloyed by sodium. Its efficiency of transformation made 0,71. The new material telluride of lead alloyed by thallium, has efficiency 1,5. It more than in 2 times exceeds the previous indicator.
The most important, that the new material is most effective at temperature from 230 to 510 hailstones. On Celsius – usual temperature of work of generators of capacity and engines of cars.
The majority of experts considers, that only about 25 % of energy from the petrol engine is used for car movement whereas 60 % are spent for heat which large part it is useless spent, getting to an exhaust.
