By 2013 in 20 percent of mobile phones of an average and maximum price segment this or that form of an operating system on the basis of nucleus Linux will be established, writes Лента.ru referring to InformationWeek.
According to analysts, the decision on the basis of Linux as a whole it is cheaper and more favourable than special workings out. Under forecast ABI Research, Linux becomes the key factor in formation of a multimedia Internet environment for users of mobile phones.
Authors of he report have drawn the conclusions, observing for active development of fund Linux Mobile (LiMo), organised by companies Motorola, Samsung and Vodafone, developed Google platform Android. They also have noted support by company Nokia of operating system Maemo OS and acquisition Trolltech, the software producer for Linux.
