Building of joint venture HP and Foxconn has begun

Yesterday solemn ceremony of a bookmark of the first stone of factory on production of personal computers in St.-Petersburg – the project realised on the basis of the agreement on creation of joint venture between companies HP and Foxconn has taken place.

The volume of investments will make more than 50 mln. dollars of the USA, and the building area at the first stage - 32 000 sq.m.

According to the designated intentions, NR will be the key customer of enterprise Foxconn with the planned volume of production to 40 thousandunits a month. The enterprise will be focused on production of personal computers by request of HP, the requirements of end users intended for maintenance and corporate customers in the Russian market. In the future expansion of a grocery number and number of customers of the enterprise is planned.

The given project is carried out within the limits of strategy of companies NR and Foxconn, directed on satisfaction of fast growing demand on dynamical world emerging markets. Factory building in St.-Petersburg becomes strategic addition to capacities of new factory in India, belonging HP, and also to factories Foxconn making production under brand NR in Czechia and Brazil.
