BSA has struck on pirates in the Dnepropetrovsk area
Within the limits of the declared active regional campaign for struggle against legislation infringements in sphere of intellectual property Association Business Software Alliance (BSA), uniting leading world manufacturers of the software, initiated check of variety of subjects of economic activities in regions of Ukraine about use of the counterfeit software of the companies-members of Association.
So, on July, 7th, 2009 employees of management of public service on struggle against economic criminality of Central administrative board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Dnepropetrovsk area in Ukraine had been spent check of Open Company "PR&BTL" Agency Vlasov and Partners », located on the address: Dnepropetrovsk, street Barrikadnaja, 22, of. 9-10. During check 3 personal computers and 1 laptop with the established counterfeit software of corporation Microsoft and corporation Adobe Systems are revealed and withdrawn.
The total sum of the damage caused to legal owners, has made 18 000 griven. At present check materials are in Dnepropetrovsk regional management of militia. Further representative BSA will direct a notice of infringement of copyrights of the companies-members of Association to the address of militia.
This very day employees of the Dnepropetrovsk militia together with representative BSA in Ukraine spend check of Open Company "»U«јїЎh«Uј" located on the address: Dnepropetrovsk, street Theatrical, 1. The given enterprise renders services in the field of polygraphy. As a result of check 12 personal computers with the established counterfeit software of corporation Microsoft are revealed and withdrawn. The sum of the damage caused to legal owners has made 23 000 griven.
Condition for today check materials are on consideration of the Dnepropetrovsk regional management of militia. Excitation of criminal case upon infringement of copyrights from the director of Open Company "»U«јїЎh«Uј" Gljundera V.V. is planned
On June, 18th, 2009 employees of the Dnepropetrovsk regional militia had been spent check of Open Company "Medikum-Lp" and state of emergency “Medikum-Lk”, located on the address: the Dnepropetrovsk area, Dneprodzerzhinsk, Lenin’s avenue, 20. As a result of enterprise check 3 system blocks with established counterfeit software Microsoft and Adobe are withdrawn. For today concerning the director of the given enterprises criminal case which is directed to investigatory management of of Dneprodzerzhinsk is raised.
Let’s remind, that from the moment of the beginning of regional campaign BSA 45 checks of subjects of enterprise activity in several areas of Ukraine have been spent, in particular, in Odessa, Poltava, Donetsk, etc. As a result of checks 26 facts of use of counterfeit copies of the software of companies-members BSA from end users, 18 – distributions of disks with record of counterfeit copies of the software, 1 – sale of the personal computer with the preestablished counterfeit copies of the software are revealed.
Upon the revealed infringements 18 criminal cases are raised, the amount of damage which is supposed to be collected from subjects-infringers, makes more than 20 million griven.
