Broadcom has shown new wireless and multimedia decisions
On Computex 2008 Broadcom the ruler of wireless routers, and also two models for improvement of a multimedia component of such systems, as UMPC and MID has presented a number of wireless decisions, among which version 2.1 chip Bluetooth, the USB-adapter 802.11n.
Chip Bluetooth BCM2070 is made with use tehprotsessa with level of detailed elaboration of 65 nanometers thanks to what energopotreblenie it is much less than it, than at existing decisions – approximately on 40 %. Besides, the model is equipped by technology SmartAudio wich improves quality of a sound transmission and a voice.
Other novelty – first-ever odnochipovaya a two-band wireless card of the standard 802.11n, connected to the computer through tyre USB. Model Intensi-fi XLR basing on chip BCM4323, also is made with application 65-nanometrovyh norms, has built in processor ARM and memory that will help to unload computing resources of the basic system.
The company also announced three systems Intensi-fi XLR with the integrated processors, intended for creation on their basis of one-and two-band routers 802.11n. Functionality of models is improved by means of application of technology Accelerange which raises quality of cover thanks to what to be connected to a network it is possible being in any place in the house. Each of novelties – Broadcom BCM4716, BCM4717 and BCM4718 – is equipped with chip MIPS 74K and allows to transmit data with a speed 300 MB/s.
Besides, Broadcom has presented two systems MRS intended for increase of multimedia functionality RS, UMPC and MID. Consuming only 1,5 Vt energy BCM70012 and BCM70010 supply reproduction of a high-quality content from disks Blu-ray, and also compressed video HD and SD, loaded or broadcast of the Internet. They are established in slotyi PCI Express, PCI Express mini-card and ExpressCard and are compatible to basic OS – Windows Vista, Windows XP and Linux.
