British namerenyi to arrange competition of computer programs-talkers

On Sunday on October, 13th at British University Ridinga competition of computer programs which will try in conversation with people will take place to issue itself for the person. About it writes «Lenta.ru».

In total 6 computer programs participate in competition: Alice, Brother Jerome, Elbot, Eugene Goostman, Jabberwacky and Ultra Hal. If the interlocutor considers at least one program as the person it will pass so-called test Tyuringa for availability at the artificial intellect car. Founders of the program-winner will eceive a gold medal and a prize in 100 thousand dollars

Test Tyuringa has been offered by the mathematician and kriptografom Alan Tjuringom in 1950 in the article «Computers and reason» (Computing machinery and intelligence). It consists in that the person-judge corresponded in a natural language with two interlocutors, one of which - the person, and other - the computer. The test will be passed not only in case the program will accept for the person but also if the judge cannot define who is the program and who the person.

Till now any program could not be tested Tyuringa though the scientist expected, that by 2000 in 30 % of cases the computer can deceive the person during the five-minute test.
